This is the 1985 meeting of tenor saxophonist Art Ellefson with legendary pianist Tommy Flanagan (of Coltrane’s Giant Steps fame) performing with bassist Dave Young (Oscar Peterson Trio) and drummer Barry Elmes (Moe Koffman & Dizzy Gillespie). Originally released on vinyl (Unisson DDA-1005), this long out-of-print recording has now been re-mastered for digital release in 2022 by Cornerstone Records Inc.

Recorded in one three-hour studio session on Sat. Nov. 16, 1985 in Toronto, Canada, this was the only time Ellefson and Flanagan met. The resulting program of eight tunes features five jazz standards, two compositions by Art Ellefson, plus one by Lee Ellefson.
